The heavily gaming-based social platform Discord just made a major announcement to celebrate ten years of their Discord Nitro subscription service. Starting today, Discord Nitro members have access to more than 50 PC and console games, available to download to compatible devices through a new partnership with Xbox Game Pass.
This is a new tier of Xbox Game Pass that is exclusive to Nitro subscribers, called a “starter edition” by Discord in their announcement post. Whilst the game library can be downloaded to your PC or Xbox consoles, Nitro subscribers also get 10 hours of cloud gaming per month included as well. This means that no matter which device you’re on, you can hop into compatible games with friends on any device.
The partnership also works in reverse, with Xbox Game Pass subscribers getting new rewards through Discord Nitro. These include 250 Discord Orbs delivered once a month, along with a 1.2x increase to Orbs earned through quests in Discord, and Discord Shop discounts.
