Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is doing really well right now, and the team clearly wants to keep the momentum going. The game has now passed 12 million players, nearly two years after its launch. This strong growth was helped a lot by its release on PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Xbox Game Pass, which brought in many new players.
Because of this success, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have now decided to extend support into a third year! As they said, “Space Marine 2’s live support has officially been extended into a third year, bringing even more free updates and DLC content. Lately, our updates have been very well received by the community, which really motivates us to keep up the momentum for the third year.”
The plan now is to keep adding more content, including free updates, new weapons, and missions going into 2027. Also, anything that was originally planned for Year 2 but didn’t make it will now be moved into Year 3. Patch 13 will add a new PvE mission, a rework of “Siege Mode,” a new secondary weapon for the Techmarine class, and a practice arena. After that update, players will also be able to use class-specific gear, like Iron Halos, on other classes.
Patch 14, expected in the third quarter of the year, will continue the roadmap with two new PvP arenas and a new Terminus enemy. On top of that, Year 2 will still include its planned content like the Champion Pack 2 Salamanders and the Cosmetic Pack Raptors.
For Year 3, details are still limited, but the team has said they are “really excited about what’s coming” and believe fans will feel the same.
