Capcom recently released their 2025 Integrated Report, in which they break down their vision for the future, along with plenty of other corporate discussions such as growth strategies and development. However, as first noticed by Rockman Corner, the report is hiding a promising revelation for those that enjoy some of Capcom’s less supported franchises.
Inside Chief Operating Officer (COO) Haruhiro Tsujimoto’s discussion of growth strategies, he clarifies that whilst their efforts are “focused on core IP such as Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter“, they “recognize the need to grow” their “pipeline” in future. It’s here that Tsujimoto specifies the “globally popular brands” of “Mega Man, Devil May Cry and Ace Attorney” which the company also owns, and states the company’s aim to grow them “through new releases, remakes and ports of titles in these series”. All of that is corporate speak to say: we’re going to do more with some of these other franchises we’ve left behind.

The franchises that Capcom mentioned are all long overdue a new game entry. To put it into perspective, Devil May Cry 5 released six years ago, whilst Mega Man‘s last original main game was seven years ago, and Ace Attorney‘s last mainline game was even further back, more than nine years ago now. All of these series have received additional releases such as remakes or remasters, but no new original games in awfully long time. It’s long overdue we see more from these franchises, and we’ll be sure to report in future whenever a new project gets announced!
