Ubisoft unveils first new Prince of Persia trailer

The all-star team that created the previous Prince of Persia are back at it again, this time with the help of Assassin’s Creed’s Anvil engine

Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, unveiled the first trailer and game details for Prince of Persia. The all-new epic adventure marks the return of the critically acclaimed franchise and its first appearance on next-generation platforms. Led by the all-star team that created the previous Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy, Prince of Persia has been in development for over three years. The video game opens an entirely new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe in addition to introducing a fresh Illustrative art style, evolved combat system, open world structure and dynamic AI - most notably in the form of the Prince’s powerful ally Elika. Prince of Persia is scheduled to release Holiday 2008 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system and Windows-based PC. Ubisoft will also release a Prince of Persia game specifically designed for the Nintendo DS system, featuring an entirely new storyline and additional characters.
