52Average game and getting old

Some more variety in game modes would have been nice cause its the same old thing
Dance Dance Revolution X is pretty much like Supernova2 but with different songs. You can again play it with the dance mat or with a joystick. Playing with the joystick is easier but less fun. Songs include some of the new hits and some old classics like You Were Always on my Mind by the Petshop boys.
What can be said of the gameplay. It’s the same old thing. Arrows move across the screen and you have to press the right arrow button or make the right step to get it right. The better the timing the better the score. What is disappointing is the fact they didn’t change the gamemodes. It’s still the same arrow thing. Would have been cool if they change the games up a bit, maybe have a futuristic bike speeding and you need to position it to match the beats, whatever. This is so much like all the other versions it starts to get silly. You have other game modes like workout or streetmaster but its basically the same thing again. Streetmaster has a story. The story reminds of those cheesy fighting games that have characters talking for no reason but instead of fighting you get the same old dance mode. There’s actually less than in Supernova2 cause you don’t get to have any bosses you need to dance better. Here you have duel or combat or whatever more where you play against the computer. You can hook up to 4 ps2 in a kind of dance off, so that’s cool. The menus are a bit complicated to figure out. In all, it’s a bit of a disappointment.
I’d avoid this one unless you have a dance matt and have funny friends over.
