As Resident Evil Requiem has just been updated to add, among other things, a Photo Mode, it was expected that players would start spotting small hidden details. One of them is a new hint toward Capcom’s heavily teased Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake, which has been rumored for months and now seems even more likely.
It turns out that players can now clearly see the guest register from the Wrenwood Hotel, revealing several names and interesting details. As far as we can tell, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) pointed this out first. It reveals that Alyssa was not only the last guest, but also the “9th,” matching the game’s title number. The register also includes a guest named “Veronica,” adding to the list of Code: Veronica references in Resident Evil Requiem.

This clue is less hidden than the previous one, where players had to go to the lounge bar in Rhodes Hill and notice that one of the bottles was labeled AVERNICO. At first glance it went unnoticed, but if the letters are rearranged, it forms VERONICA, which is clearly a reference to Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
It is clear that Capcom rarely adds details without purpose, and this new hint found through Photo Mode only strengthens the idea that the Code: Veronica remake announcement may be getting closer. Now the only question left is when it will happen. As more news and rumors emerge, we’ll be sure to let you all know here at GameObserver.
In related news, Albert Wesker’s voice actor, Greg Burnatowski, has also teased a possible return to the Resident Evil franchise, with many fans believing this could be linked to the Code: Veronica remake.
